This course illustrates the importance of preventing contamination in animal feed, with a detailed description of the following contaminants:

  • Pathogenic bacteria, viruses and moulds
  • Medicines and coccidiostats
  • Heavy metals and dioxins
  • Nutritional contaminants such as salt, copper, urea

The course explains the sources of and harm caused by the contaminant, then examines the relevant legislation to increase awareness of MRLs and how they are applied. Delegates will find this course useful before attending a 'HACCP for Animal Feed' course.
